Colour break, banana fruit, Pakistan Minimize

   

September 2012. Tissue cultured bananas from Sindh, Pakistan showing what is presumably a mutation affecting the colour of the fruit.

In response a member wrote that it was a chimera, a genetic mutation. They occur occasionally in Cavendish varieties in the field, but more frequently in tissue culture.
