Flatidae, cotton, India Minimize

October 2012.  A request for an identification of an insect infesting cotton in India.

A member replied: a planthopper nymph, family Flatidae, which often leave a waxy deposits around their resting (and feeding) place. These insects can be found on cotton, okra, hibiscus and many other plants.
