Eggs of unidet insect

June 2005. Eggs were found on the calyx of an eggplant in New Caledonia and sent for identification.

There were two suggestions: the eggs of a fly, possibly a Muscidae or those of the push-me-pull-you fly, Telostylinus. There is a picture of the latter on the Cook Island Diversity website: www2.bishopmuseum.org/pbs/cookislands/.
