Unidentified Insects Diaspididae scale, Latan palm, Cook Is

Diaspididae, Latan palm

June 2006. Help in identifying the scale (Diaspididae) found on a young Latania sp, (Latan palm) was requested from Cook Islands. The scales are very small and hard to see with unaided eye. There was no response.
