Control Necrobia rufipes, (Red legged Ham beetle), PNG

February 2013. A request from PNG how to control Necrobia rufipes(Red legged Ham beetle) in large numbers in warehoused copra. There seems to be information with small scale use of plant based insecticides, but I think that is more experimental than real!

A member suggested that the best way is to fumigate with phosphine, but warehouse sanitation is also important. Fumigation has to performed by the trained persons.
