Semanotus bifasciatus, Fiji

January 2009. A Cerembycid intercepted by quarantine in Fiji. It was on wood used as packaging in a consignment from the People’s Repulic of China.

It was identified as Semanotus bifasciatus. There are other similar species. A photo was sent from China for comparison (photo, below left)
