January 2008. A beetle damaging cabbages in the highlands of Papua New Guinea sent for identification.

it was identified as Eurydema pulchrum (Westwood, a pentatomid pest of crucifers, flowering weeds and sometimes peppers. The common name is cabbage shield bug.
