May 2015. A weed was sent from Palau for identification. The plants grow up to about 1 m tall, with very few branches, and are slightly woody at the base. The flowers are about 5 cm long.

It was identified as Clitoria sp. There is a key in the following paper: http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/plantbiology/ncsc/vulpia/pdf/Fantz_Clitoria_Mesoamericana.pdf. From this, it looks like it must be Clitoria guianensis, which is listed as being an introduced plant in Palau. There is a photo as http://eol.org/pages/640333/overview.
