Pheromones, Conogethes punctiferalis

June 2003. A question was asked by India about the distribution of Conogethese punctiferalis. The respondent was sent the relevant parts of the CABI Crop Protection Compendium. However, it was of interest to note that at MARDI, Malaysia, work on C. puntiferalis is being done on the sex pheromones of this insect in order to monitor populations in durian orchards. The moth is a pest in Malaysia and Thailand on durians, and on peach in Japan.
