Of interest to several countries was the rate and time that containers should be fumigated with methyl bromide to ensure freedom from stowaway reptiles and amphibians.
The accepted rate used in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia, for stowaway reptiles, geckos and snakes is 48 gms/m3 at 21° for 24 hours.
