January 2005. Specimens in the photographs were collected by the plant protection unit in Jamaica as follows:
Fig.1 – On wooden pallets from Thailand (container carrying cylinders);
Fig.2 – On wooden pallets from India (container carrying tiles);
Fig.3 – Collected from green ginger (country of origin?).
Members identified Fig.1 as Sinoxylon conigerum, and Fig.2 as Sinoxylon anale that has a lateral carina at declivity (Fig.1 does not have the ridge). Hainan, China reported that interceptions of these are common on wooden pallets from Thailand and Malyasia.
