May 2012. A question from the Maldives. Is this Eupractic fraterna? It is eating leaves and causing allergies.

The identification of E. fraterna was confirmed.A member wrote: I can confirm that this is Euproctis fraterna, which regularly causes severe outbreaks on some islands in Maldives. There is a 2004 report on this which was prepared and submitted to the Ministry, which also indicates that there are at least three natural enemies (parasitoids) of eggs, larvae and pupae present in Maldives.
