June 2016. An image was sent of Colletotrichum infections on cocoa pods overrun by Fusarium. The question was does anyone know about this? The question was asked by a member from El Salvador.
A member responded: During my research to find naturally occurring fungal antagonists to Botrytis cinerea and Colletotrichum acutatum on wine grape bunches I found two Fusarium species that were antagonistic towards both pathogens. However, the most effective species against C. acutatum was Fusarium chlamydosporum var. fuscum
Another member mentioned that a number of Fusarium spp. have mycoparasitic activity, including against Colletotrichum:
